Yarnbird Arts

Helen is Co-Director of Yarnbird Arts alongside theatremaker Sophia Hatfield. Yarnbird Arts make, produce and tour exceptional creative experiences, with storytelling at their heart. Together Helen and Sophia have created an award-winning portfolio of theatre, immersive events and participatory arts projects, with a focus on creating work with care and making arts accessible to a diverse range of people. Recently this work has included the interactive touring performance, Cardboard Cosmos, and Forgotten News Desk:Transitions, aimed at smoothing the transition between primary and secondary school through a series of reflective creative activities.

Yarnbird Arts grows out of their work with Filament Projects and Stute Theatre, carrying forward over 10 years shared experience. Yarnbird Arts currently trades under the Filament Projects banner, within its established governance framework and board oversight, and in time we plan to move fully under the Yarnbird Arts name, reflecting the next stage of our journey.
